EUGENE, OR -- Over the weekend, the Lane Titans track and field team competed at the Larry Byerly Invitational at Griswold Stadium at Lewis & Clark College.
Freshman Izzy Abrahams jumped 12' 9.5" in the women's pole vault (No. 2 Lane All-time) and freshman Kekoa Williams cleared 6'11" in the men's high jump to move up to No. 3 All-time at Lane. Sophomore Andrew Rush rushed to the finish line in the men's 1500 meters in 3:52 to move into the #10 position all-time at LCC. All three are NWAC leading marks for the year.
The fun in the pole vault continued with sophomore Lucas Hoff jumping a lifetime best of 15'10.5" (best mark in the NWAC this season) and was joined by teammate Kyle Hughes who also jumped 15'10.5"
Hoff followed up his excellent day with another lifetime best height in the High Jump of 6'7.5" (third best in the NWAC this season).
Molly Mucken moved up to fifth in the NWAC in the women's discus with a toss of 123' 11" and No. 8 among the NWAC in the women;s hammer 130' 3". Fellow throwers Thianna Deng threw 37' 11.5" in th shot put (No. 4 in NWAC) and Lily Cavanaugh recorded a mark of 37'2.5" to join Deng in the top ten parade.
Sprinter Tatum Fleming finished top ten with a 13.00 in the women's 100 meter dash.
Lane Titans Head Coach Chris Yorges said: "We had several personal bests in several events as well as support for each other throughout the meet."
The Titans will prepare for the NWAC Men's and Women's Multi Track and Field Championships at Whitworth University in Pine Bowl, WA on April 27 and 28.
