Lane Titan Freshman Lucas Hoff claimed the NWAC Men's Track & Field Decathlon Title at the Multi-Event Championship on Tuesday.

The event was hosted right on the campus of Lane Community College.

Hoff was sitting in third place heading into the final three events, and a strong finish in the pole vault stood between him and first place.

Hoff dominated the event, opening with a mark of 4.57 meters, the fifth highest in the entire NWAC.

He finished at 4.90 meters, the top height in the NWAC this year, which pushed him into first place going into the javelin.

A second place finish in the javelin secured his spot in first place with only the 1,500 meters remaining.

Hoff eventually finished in first place, claiming the NWAC Men's Decathlon Championship.

Teammate and Titan Sophomore Cooper Seguin finished in second place at the event, finishing in the top-five in 9 of 10 events.
