The Lane Titans Men's Soccer team defeated the Chemeketa Storm 2-0 Saturday afternoon.
In what turned out to be a physical match, which featured four yellow cards and two red cards, the Titans found a way to prevail.
Following the first yellow card by Chemeketa, Youssef Mizouni, in just his second appearance of the season, found the back of the net in the 16th minute to put the Titans up 1-0.
In the 33rd minute, the first red card occurred, forcing the Storm to play the remainder of the match with 10 players.
Opening the second period, another red card was issued, this time penalizing the Titans.
Both teams played the remainder of the match with a man down.
The Titans answered, however, with a goal off of a header by Imrane Bentolha, assisted by Noah Onier.
The Storm fought to trim the deficit, but crucial saves by Titan goalie Mitch Vico kept them at bay.
Lane ended up taking the match 2-0 to improve to 7-1-1 on the season with a Southern Region Championship still very much in play.
The Titans will travel to Portland on Friday to take on the Portland Community College Panthers.
