Emily Thomason is a freshman pole vaulter from Crater High School and Gold Hill, Ore.
At the Southern Region Championships this past Saturday Thomason set the school record in the pole vault with a 3.82m/12’-6.25” vault, .25” better than the previous record. The previous record holder was Morgan Fossen who had a winning mark of 3.81m/12’-6” last year during the NWAC Championships.
Thomason’s previous collegiate best mark was 3.60m/11’-9.75” at the Linfield Open a week prior. At the time it made her the 8th best women’s vaulter in school history.
Thomason and the Titans travel to the NWAC Championships at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore. this May 20-21.
